Review: Beautycounter’s new facial mask

When a new product drops from Beautycounter, I always get messages from clients asking what I think of it…really. They know that while I’m a fan of Beautycounter’s mission and their products (hello, I work with them!), I’m also not going to push a product unless I believe in it and use it myself. In this case, I’ve gotten a lot of DMs asking what I think about the “AHA smoothing facial mask” Beautycounter just dropped last week. My clients trust my opinion, so they wait until I have tried the product long enough to give my review on the product before they purchase.

All right, friends. I’ve tried it. Let me tell you the 411.

Here’s the skinny on the Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask.

  1. It’s the whole she-bang.
    • It’s the product I feel like has missing from our collection because it’s a true exfoliant. It’s the gritty scrub so many of us love and are looking for when it comes to a facial experience.
  2. You can see a difference quickly.
    • After the sneak preview of this product in the holiday collection 2021, I have fallen in love with the Reflect Effect AHA Smoothing Facial Mask from Beautycounter. It’s one of those products that you can see and feel a difference from after just one use.
    • And much like our culture is being conditioned these days, we want instant results/gratification. Of course, I preach that consistency is key, but we can’t help but want to see results after the first time.
  1. This product is best for exfoliation:
    • It removes dry skin and promotes healthy and rapid skin cell turnover.
    • The chemical and physical exfoliants leave my skin feeling very soft and smooth, ready to soak up the serum and moisturizer I apply after the mask.

This is the #1 product I have been recommending to my brides lately in order for their skin to look its best on their wedding day. Whether your wedding is a week away or 6 months away, the glow that is revealed after this mask helps your makeup wear flawlessly. The resurfacing properties of the glycolic acids soften the surface of your skin reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and preparing it for moisture and hydration.

How to use Beautycounter’s new facial mask:

  1. After washing your face, apply the mask with your fingers.
  2. As soon as the mask hits your skin, you’ll feel a tingling reaction. (Yes, you’ll know when the powerful ingredients are getting to work!)
  3. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes minimum, so it sets and the beads turn white.
  4. Once your time is up, take some warm water and start working the beads into your skin, enhancing the exfoliation process.
  5. Wash off the entire mask and dry your face.
  6. Finish the treatment with some overnight Supreme Cream from the Countertime line.

And just like that, you’ll have the at-home facial you’ve been longing for. I promise, you’ll look forward to bedtime even more than you did before.
