Summer is here and it’s officially vacation season! Jonny and I are in countdown mode until we take off for our anniversary vacation, so I am in full preparation mode to look and feel my best while we are away celebrating together.
Whether that looks like a family “trip” with all 500 of your kids or an actual adult “vacation” with just you and your hubby/friends, I have a few tips for you to look fab while traveling— without spending more in preparation for your trip than your spending on your actual trip itself.
Tip #1: Shop with NUULY
Ever feel like you have NOTHING to wear and need to go get a full new wardrobe?
Yeah, I felt that too… until I found NUULY. It’s a subscription clothing rental from brands like Anthropologie and Free People, plus premium denim. You get to pick out each of your items, (a minimum of 6 items or more) and you get to rent them for a month.
If you love any of your items they give you the option to purchase individual items but you can also return the whole box and get 6 new items the next month. A whole new travel wardrobe for $88, yes please!! I have used NUULY for so many different stages and sizes of my life, maternity, postpartum (in between sizes), special occasions like weddings and bachelorette parties, vacations… or even just a special Birthday outfit for myself. If you try it, use my link for $10 off your first month’s subscription.
Tip #2: Pack your favorite body care items
There is nothing worse than hopping into a hotel shower or Air BnB bathtub and wishing I had brought my own body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. (Not to mention something that is green and clean!)
Elevate your shower experience and feel your best with three everyday essentials, part of our new sustainable body-care collection. You can count on our Daily Shampoo and Conditioner for soft, healthy-looking hair.
And for the creamiest cleanse, try our Body Wash in Citrus Mimosa. So refreshing. Each product is sustainably packaged in a recyclable aluminum bottle with a reusable pump that you can save and attach to refill bottles. This is #betterbeauty for every body—and the planet, too.
Travel Tip #3: Skincare
Just because I am out of my daily “routine” doesn’t mean I skip my favorite skincare regimen. But if you are like me, you are always trying to create more space in your suitcase, or shed a few baggage pounds. Take my favorite age-defying routine on the go in portable, refillable, TSA-friendly minis that come inside a stylish, reusable pouch. This set includes the entire Countertime regimen—each product is formulated with Retinatural Complex for retinol-like results (without potential skin irritation or sun sensitivity). Proven to visibly firm, brighten, and plump the skin, this mini set welcomes you to the new age of aging well.*
Travel Tip #4: Sun Protection
The other day I was at a birthday party and my friend said… “My whole family makes fun of my kids because they are always the chalky white kids during the summer from their sunscreen.” What immediately came to mind was… there are other options that are safe and effective without you or your kids having to be the public humor at the pool.
Safer sun protection in a mist that never misses… and comes in travel size!!!
Guard against the sun’s damaging rays with this innovative, continuous mist sunscreen. Formulated with non-nano zinc oxide and California Poppy, this physical SPF 30 formulation provides an effective shield from UVA and UVB while being a gentle and pleasant-feeling on the skin. Sprays on white to help guide application, blends in easily, and dries quickly without an oily residue.
For my kids’ faces, my go-to is the Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Stick. Guard your skin against sun’s damaging rays with this convenient, water-resistant sunscreen stick. Ultra-moisturizing cocoa butter-infused formula glides on smoothly without leaving a white residue. Yep, no public embarrassment here!
So, as you’re packing for that trip to Cabo or your family camping trip, don’t miss out on the items that will make you feel at home in your body. It’ll make you and your family a little bit happier.
